These lyrics were so easy to write. I had been listening to a lot of Black Thought’s lyrics and just the power he puts behind them, sometimes you feel like it’s fucking church. When I listen to The Roots How I Got Over, to me, there’s not a better album that is a full affirmation about how tough life is, the internal battles and dialogue about achieving goals, and being your own Fire through it all.

The Invisible Plan came out of being inspired by that, for sure, and imagery I have in mind of what our next full-length album would be about (which I can’t wait to share!). I feel so strong about the Power of the Mind and what we can do if we change our minds.

The only way it seems to make a change anymore is to do it covertly, starting with your Self and then gathering others…guiding your karma and letting shit work its magic—active karma weaponry, so to speak.

The “use the mind as a muscle” – was something that felt important in my life, as I had made a commitment to change my thought process about a year ago. I eliminated the phrase “I DON’T WANT” in my language. I started talking only about what I do want, if that makes any sense. To me, words and thoughts are actual things, actual matter, and if I was saying I don’t want this or that, I’m still attracting it because I’m talking about it. At least it puts me in the driver’s seat of living with less drama.

Things started happening and coming to me and appearing in my life, it was like a “reverse scavenger hunt.” Keeps things exciting for sure.

Now that we have our special orders up for The Invisible Plan, I can talk about how we have made every aspect of this EP release a part of the meaning of this story, the prelude to our next full-length.

There is power and change in the hidden.

When a seed is in the dirt, you cannot see it above ground, but it has a natural determination to come above ground and yield something new. I found a correlation between this and Trypt0fanatic ~ bringing the Dreamworld into Waking Life.

Plant the seed. Grow wild.

“Underground. Let’s take them down.”
